Chaos in.
Predictability out.

Truemend is open-core: the engine, every detection spec and every deterministic fix are free forever. The paid tiers add the work a machine can’t finish alone: constrained refactors, structural analysis, custom rules. You pay for judgment, not detection.

Tiers are cumulative and already enforced in the product, the real feature gate, not a marketing approximation. Pro bundles what CodeRabbit ($24–30/dev·mo), Codacy ($15) and Snyk ($25) each charge for one capability apiece, priced above any single comp because it replaces all three. Max sits at ~2× Pro, where SonarQube and Snyk’s upper tiers sit relative to their base.

Why the numbers work

The machine does the cheap work. You buy the judgment.

2,077 detection patterns carry a deterministic fix path: 36.8% of everything the engine can find, it can also repair and verify for nothing, on the free tier. A licence buys the other two tiers, where a machine proposes and a human signs.

How buying works

What counts as a seat?

Nothing is metered: licensing is offline and declarative, with no license server by design. You buy a flat team-size band (up to 5, up to 20, or up to 50 devs); the per-dev price is the mental-math anchor for what each band costs, not a counter watching you.

How do I receive a license?

An offline RSA-signed key, delivered by email. No phone-home, no login, no dashboard. Drop the key next to the binary and it validates locally, air-gap included.

Can I stay on Free forever?

Yes, and plenty do. Free is not a trial: the full engine, all 5,520 patterns across 144 specs, 22 languages, and every deterministic fix: applied and verified, not flagged and left. Nothing expires and nothing nags. Upgrade only when you want the machine to attempt the work a human would otherwise do by hand.

Some teams don’t want another tool to own.

If you’d rather hand us the repo and get back a scored report, the fixes already applied, and a walkthrough. That’s a conversation, not a checkout.
